Warren!

Meet Warren! I photographed Warren's parent's wedding back in August, so when Aaron and Mary contacted me about doing a few photos after Warren was born, I was super pumped! Warren was 18 days old when his mama and her friend, Kristi, brought him to my studio on January 27th. I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to get Warren to sleep, but he did great! Warren was out for the first part of his session, but once he woke up to eat, he'd had enough. Lol. Anyway, here he is! Mr. Warren!

This is Kennedy! I met Kennedy when she was 9 days old...on January 26th. Her mom, Nikki, brought her to my studio for her newborn images. Kennedy was also a great little baby! She slept like a champ and she also only peed on one blankie! :) I thought the meaning behind Kennedy's name was pretty cool too. Nikki's mom's maiden name was Kennedy. I love when there is a story to go with a name! It just puts a smile on my face! Anyway, here are Kennedy's images. Enjoy!

Harper!

Meet Harper! Harper's mommy and I used to work together, so I was super excited when she called to set up Harper's newborn session. Harper was 10 days old when she came to my studio on January 25th and she was just perfect! She slept the whole time and only woke up to eat. :) And as a bonus, she only peed on one blanket! Harper is a mini me of her mama...there's no denying that! Carly...thanks again for allowing me to take Harper's newborn pictures. I enjoyed every minute of it and I look forward to hopefully working with you both again in the future! It was great chatting with you...enjoy your precious baby girl...she'll grow fast!

Meet Daniel and Leah! They were married on December 31st, 2011 and I wouldn't have wanted to spend my day anywhere else! Their wedding was gorgeous...down to every little detail. :) I photographed Leah's older sister's wedding, along with her younger brother's senior pictures. Meet Claire! Claire is a senior at River Ridge and she's also my cousin...her dad and my dad are first cousins...and she also babysits for my kiddos. Claire came to my studio on Friday, January 20th, during the big snow storm, for her senior session. Claire was a lot of fun to work with and I got some really great images! I can't believe that it's been a whole year since this little girl was born! Jessa was the perfect little newborn when she came in for her newborn session and it's been great working with her and her parents for her first year. When they came in on January 16th for Jessa's session, she wanted nothing to do with me! Lol. She didn't want to leave her daddy's lap. :( It took about an hour, but she ventured away from her daddy and even danced for me! And I must say...Jessa has got some moves! ;) I thought that Jessa would have been excited for her cake, but the only thing that she wanted to do was use the case to play drums. Lol. Anyway, Jesse and Sarah, thank you sooo much for letting me be a part of Jessa's first year! I always love visiting with you guys and I'm already looking forward to your next visit!

Meet Blake! I photographed Blake when he was just a newborn and I was super excited when his mom contacted me to set up his six month session. :) Blake was pretty serious when he came for his session on January 9th, but I still got a lot of really cute images. Finally, after a long, long time, my blog is finally up and running again! I'm not sure what was going on, maybe it was the type of browser I was using, or maybe it was something with Blogger...I have no idea! Anyway, I am now able to post again and I couldn't be happier about it! So...I was planning on posting everything from in between my last post and the end of 2011, but after I got looking at how much I would have to do, I've decided that I am just going to start fresh with 2012. So...I am really sorry for anyone that had a session with me after my blog quit working. :( On a positive note, everything should be good to go for this year, so please keep an eye out for updates and images from all of my sessions. :)

This is Bentley! Don't you just love his name as much as I do!?! I think it's so cute! :) Bentley's mom, Katie, and his grandma, Teresa, brought him to my studio on May 13th for his first set of professional pictures! I took Katie's senior pictures a few years ago, so it was great to see her and catch up! She's a great girl! Mr. Bentley looks just like his mama, so it was fun to work with him! He was teething pretty bad, so we had a hard time keeping his hands out of his mouth, but I still got a few good images...minus his hands in his mouth! LOL! So...here is Bentley! Enjoy!

Meet Baby Lacee! Lacee and her parents, Dan and Marissah came to visit me for pictures when Lacee was eight days old! Lacee was just a little peanut, but she did awesome for her shoot! Chris, Kristin, and Kendra came to visit me on May 2nd for Kendra's eighteen month pictures. I last saw Kendra for her one year pictures, so it was great to see her and her parents again! Kendra started out very happy and then she turned serious, so I brought Owen and Aaren down to my studio thinking that they would help her smile, but Kendra just became very into everything that they were doing! Zachary and his mama, Jenna, came to my studio on April 15th for Zach's six month pictures. Zach's older sister McKenzie never wants to smile for me, so I was a little worried that Zach would be the same way, but he was the total opposite! :) Zach was all smiles from when we started until the very end! He loved playing peek-a-boo with his mom, so of course there was a lot of pee-a-boo going on to keep Zach smiling. Anyway, here he is...Mr. Zacher's!

Meet Baby Sophia! Sophia's parents, Jeremy and Nicole, came all of the way from West Salem to visit me on April 8th for Sophia's newborn pictures! :) Sophia was born on March 31st at 1:53 AM and she weighed 8 pounds, 1.8 ounces and was 21 inches long. I was a little worried that Sophia wouldn't want to sleep when she got to my studio, but we woke her up, fed her and she went right back to sleep for her whole sitting. Sophia is the first baby for her parents and the first grand baby for both of her grandparents and I could tell how much she is loved! Her parents had the biggest smiles on their faces and that made me smile! Sophia is just perfect too! She has the cutest head of hair...EVER! Sophia's sitting is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES! I love every single one of her images! So...here she is...enjoy! Hopefully you'll love her images as much as I do!

Meet Breileigh Josephine Trautsch! I photographed Breileigh's parent's wedding almost two years ago, so I was sooo excited when I got to meet their first baby and photograph her! She is such a little snuggle bug! I could have held her all day! She was born on March 26th at 5:26 AM and she weighed 5 pounds, 6 ounces and she was 19 inches long. She slept great for her sitting and the only time she made any noise was when she peed. LOL! So...I look forward to seeing Breileigh grow up! She is joining a great family and I know that she'll have two great parents! Congrats again Brian and Ashley...she's a keeper!

Of course you all remember my nephew Oliver! It was three month old sitting weekend at my studio because Oliver's parents brought him on April 3rd for his pictures. It was fun to do Jessa's and Oliver's pictures in the same weekend though! Oliver was sleeping when he got to my studio, but once he woke up, he was pretty happy. He would smile for me, but only if I didn't have my camera in my hand. LOL! Oliver had just started teething, so he was pretty drooly and I had a hard time keeping his cute little hands out of his mouth, but I think I got a few good pictures without him chewing on anything. Anyway, here's my little Peanut! I love him! :)

This is Jessa! Jessa's parents came to me for pregnancy pictures and then brought Jessa back for newborn pictures. Jessa's parents and her big sister brought Jessa to my studio on April 2nd for her three month pictures. Jessa still looked a lot like her daddy, so it will be interesting to see who she looks like at her six month sitting and one year sitting. She's the cutest little peanut and I look forward to watching her grow! :)

Meet the Wagner family! Jim and Donna's daughter, Laura...who is my neighbor...contacted me about doing a family sitting for them. Donna has cancer and is going to be going through chemo, so we got together on April 1st and took a few pictures. Jim and Donna brought their dog, Ben, along and he was so cute! He loved the camera! LOL! I was very honored to work with this family and had a lot of fun! Meet Eli! Eli came to visit me on March 29th...he was nine days old...with his mom and his grandma! It took us a little while to get Eli to go to sleep, but once he was out, he was out! Eli was the sweetest little thing! I could have snuggled with him all day! :) Eli's daddy is currently serving in Afghanistan, so he hasn't been able to meet him yet, but he'll be home soon, so I'm very excited for this family to be together! Meet Chad, Tahra, Haley and Hunter. They are first time clients of mine and they came to visit me on March 19th. :) Haley and Hunter were pretty shy when they came in the door, but once five minutes went by, they had no fears! LOL! Meet Baby Baylen! Baylen came to visit me on March 17th...he was just nine days old! :) He was the first baby that I got to photograph on my own since attending the newborn workshop, but this little guy just wouldn't give in and go to sleep. He was the happiest little guy, but he was having problems keeping anything down, so his parents ended up leaving to take him to the doctor. I felt sooo bad for him! He got put on new bottles and formula, so I'm hoping that this little guy starts feeling better soon! Anyway, here he is, Baylen Brodi!I love this picture of his little feet!

Meet Jessa Jo Ashmore Oler! Jessa was born to Jesse and Sarah on January 10th at 5:52 PM. She was 8 pounds 1 ounce and was 21 inches long. Jessa came to visit me on January 18th...she was eight days old...for her first photo shoot. Jessa was a perfect little girl! When she got here, she was sleeping, so I undressed her thinking that she would wake up, but nope! Jessa was a trooper! She stayed sleeping and gave me plenty of time to get some great images! So...you will get to see Jessa grow this year because she'll be back for three, six and twelve month pictures too! So...here she is...Baby Jessa!

Meet Oliver Joseph Ludvik! My nephew! Oliver made his debut into the world on January 1st, 2011...1-1-11...at 3:06PM. He weighed 7 pounds 11.4 ounces and was 19.3 inches long. I spent all of January 1st at the hospital, but it was totally worth the wait! Josh and I had gone out the night before to celebrate the new year, so we didn't get to bed until 3:00AM or so, so when my mom called us at 6:00AM to let us know that her and my dad were at the hospital, I was a little confused. LOL! I wasn't sure what they were there for until she told me that Miranda's water had broke and that she was in labor. Miranda was only dilated to five at that point, so my mom said that she would call me back when she got to eight. So...I had a hard time getting back to sleep then, but at about 7:45, my mom called again because Miranda was eight centimeters dilated. So...I got up and showered and hit the road for the hospital. Oliver had a lot of people waiting to meet him, so we kept ourselves entertained, but once we knew that he was born, it was nothing but excitement. And tears! I still can't believe that my little brother is a daddy! Crazy! So...Oliver came up to my studio on January 6th...he was just five days old...for his first photo shoot with Aunt Lindsey! Awww! Meet Brittney and her two kiddos, Mason and Meyannah. They came to my studio on December 12th for a few pictures. Meyannah wasn't supposed to be born until January, so she was just a little peanut...who didn't want to sleep for me. LOL! So...Meyannah was born on November 6th and was 3 pounds 5.6 ounces and 15 1/2 inches long. So in other words, she was tiny! Anyway, I took Brittney's senior pictures a few years ago, so it was great getting to work with her and Mason again. Mason is such a little man now and quite funny! Tony and Heather were married on October 16th and I couldn't have asked for a better couple to end my 2010 wedding season with! These two are probably one of the most in love couples that I've ever worked with! They had a great day and nothing could have brought these two down. They were very easy going and laid back! So...I'm not going to ramble on and on, so below you will find thirty of my favorite images from Tony and Heather's big day. It was so hard to pick these thirty out...overall there were 745 proofs and I love all of them, so this was for sure a hard job! Anyway, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! Maidalynn came to visit me yesterday...December 3rd...for her six month pictures. The last time I photographed her, she was brand new to the world! Maidalynn is still brand new, but she's getting to be a big girl! She's crawling everywhere and taking everything in! She was pretty serious for her sitting, but I did manage to get a few good smiles out of her. So...Maidalynn Ann Love! I love her name! :)

This is Joey and Sam. They came to my studio on November 28th with their mom, Jenifer. I photographed Jenifer and her husband, Tim's wedding in October of 2007. I also photographed Joey when he was one month old, so it was so much fun to see him all grown up...well, not totally, but he's bigger than before. LOL! And he's now a big brother. Joey is almost three and Sam was due for his one year pictures, so I did what I could with them, but Joey had more fun playing with my boys in Owen's room. But Sam...he was such a happy little guy! And his hair...I love his hair! But his mom said that once pictures were over, he would be getting a hair cut. Don't do it Jen! :( LOL! Anyway, here they are...Joey and Sam!

It's that time of year again...for the Stoeffler family! They came to see me on November 27th this year. I have the honor of photographing them every year for their Christmas pictures and I couldn't be happier to do it for them! This year they are hosting a foreign exchange student, Ming, who is from China, so it was great to meet her and see her with this great family. It's crazy to me how grown up these kids are though! When they first came to me, they were all quiet and now they are some of the funniest kids that I know! Anna is now in college and loving life, Sam is a junior and is sooo tall and gave me quite the scare...thanks Sam!...Claire is a freshman and quite the chatterbox, but I love listening to her and Jack is becoming quite the kid too. He also keeps growing and growing. I remember the first year that I met the Stoeffler and Jack sat on Ken's lap for the pictures. LOL! He wasn't all about doing that this year! Anyway, Sam will be up next for his senior pictures, so I'm sure that he'll be just as much fun to work with as Anna was. So...here they are...the Stoefflers!

Okay, I know that today is Thanksgiving, so this is going to be my last post. I promise! Daryl and Nikki got married on October 9th and I'm just finishing up their images. I know that that seems like a long time, but considering that this is my busy season, it's not too long at all. So...these two are great! They make a perfect couple and they are for sure fun to work with! They were up for anything that I wanted to do, so you can just about imagine how excited I was! LOL! I've worked with them a few times before in the past and I'm hoping that they will continue to use me as their photographer. I love being able to photograph weddings and then move on to photograph the other big events in their lives. Pregnancy, birth, newborn, kids, etc, etc. You get the point! So...I want to thank Daryl and Nikki for letting me be a part of their beautiful day! I had fun...as I always do when working with this group! They always make it memorable, that's for sure! So...I hope that all of you enjoy your Thanksgiving and have a lot to be thankful for! I know that Daryl and Nikki are thankful for each other!

Meet the Cuff family...Jason, Crystal, Adrian, Reese and Landon. If you can think way back to when I was pregnant with Owen, I photographed Landon for his one year pictures on April 27th, 2007...my twenty-forth birthday. It was at this time when my water broke, so thank God for Crystal being a medical assistant and staying so calm. I was sooo nervous! I'd never had a baby before and didn't know what to do! LOL! So...I'm never going to forget that! Every time I see Crystal it makes me laugh and I get a bit embarrassed. Anyway, moving on. These five have never had a family picture, so I was more than honored that they picked me to do it for them. They came to my studio on November 17th and hopefully they all enjoyed themselves! I'm sure that all of you remember Brad, Adam and Riley! I photographed them last year for Christmas and was lucky enough to work with them again this year. They are three of my favorite kids to work with and I also really love working with their mom! Renee and I hit it off, so I love talking to her! Oddly enough I photographed them last year on November 14th and photographed them this year on November 14th too! Crazy! Brad doesn't enjoy having his pictures done, but he does great! And man, I can't believe how much he grew since last year. He's taller than me and he's only thirteen! Adam is such a little ham! Meet Aisja! Aisja was my 2010 Cutest Kid contest winner! She had the most votes in my contest, so she won a free sitting. Little Miss Kendall...she shouldn't be a stranger to any of you. I first took pictures of her while she was still in her mommy's tummy, and then when she was fifteen days old and then again when she was six months old and now she came back on November 3rd for her one year pictures. I can't believe how much she has grown and how adorably cute she is! Kendall has the prettiest blue eyes ever and is one of the happiest little girls that I've ever met! Meet Nikki! Nikki is a senior at Prairie Senior High, so her, her mom, Stacy, and her brother, Nolan, came to see me on October 29th. We took a few pictures at my studio and then we went to The Warehouse in LaCrosse for more pictures. I had never heard of The Warehouse before, but it was a pretty cool place. The Warehouse is a music venue for people of all ages...it's also alcohol and smoke free. Anyway, from what I was told, it's been up and running since the 80's, so the walls were covered in different posters from all of the artists that have been there. I'll be the first to admit that I didn't know who many of the artists were, but it was so cool to experience something different. So thank you Stacy, Nikki and Nolan for teaching me a few new things! Anyway, I had so much fun spending the day with these three. Stacy is a cool mom and Nikki and Nolan have a great sibling relationship. The two of them together kept cracking me up! Meet Jessica! Jessica is a senior at Prairie Senior High, so her and her mom came to my studio on October 28th for her senior pictures. I must say that I've been super lucky, because all of my seniors have been so easy going and laid back! Jessica was the same way! Jessica started out pretty quiet, but once we got going, so started talking a little more. Anyway, Jessica was another natural. She knew exactly what she was doing and she was great! Jessica is a very pretty girl and I just love her hair! Every time I look at it, I think "bouncy." LOL! So...from what I've heard Jessica is tied with another kid in her class for valedictorian, so I'm going to cross my fingers for her! But valedictorian or not, that's a huge accomplishment! Adeline!

Okay, so this is Andy, Sarah and their daughter Adeline. I've known Andy for a long time...I actually took his senior pictures when he graduated back in 2002. I met Sarah for the first time this past summer and answered her and Andy's questions about doing pregnancy pictures. So...we were set to do their pregnancy pictures the end of September, but Andy got busy with work, so we ended up canceling their sitting. When Sarah called to tell me that they wouldn't be able to do it, I asked her about the possibility of me going into the delivery room (to take pictures) when they had their daughter. She said that she was fine with it, but she wanted to talk to Andy and her doctor first. So...fast forward and Sarah calls to tell me that I got the okay to be in the delivery room, but at this point, Sarah was on bed rest. :( Sarah's due date was November 9th, but it didn't seem like she was going to go that long. So...I found out on October 14th that Sarah was going to be induced the next morning. I was so excited! I got to the hospital on the 15th at about 9:30AM. Sarah was only dilated to about three centimeters, but I hung out with her and Andy for the day and got to see everything first hand. It was a long day, but it was sooo worth it! Sarah started pushing around 7:30 and at 8:24PM Adeline Elizabeth Check made her debut! It was AMAZING! I didn't think I would be emotional, but I couldn't help crying! Again...it was AMAZING! I will never be able to thank Andy and Sarah enough for allowing me to be there for a HUGE event in their life. Anyway, Adeline came to my studio on October 26th...she was eleven days old...for her first big photo shoot. It was so fun to get to see how much Adeline changed since I last saw her. So...here area a few of Adeline's images. She is such a little doll!

Alright...Baby Boy Taylor made his entrance into the world on October 10th and I was lucky enough to photograph him when he was just four days old and then again when he was ten days old. And I want to say that I will never forget his mommy calling me on the night of October 9th to tell me that she THOUGHT she was in labor. Thanks Jenna...it was a good laugh! So...if you want to know the story, you'll have to ask Jenna. So...I want you to meet Zachary Thomas Taylor. At the four day old sitting, he just wanted to eat...and eat...and eat...and then throw up all over me! LOL! Oh well... Anyway, this first image is all that Zach let me do at his first sitting, but I LOVE it! He's such a little pumpkin! :) The last four images are what I got of Zach at his October 20th sitting. Meet Chris, Kristin and their daughter Kendra! Kendra will be turning one on Halloween and I was lucky enough to meet her on October 17th. Well...technically I've meet her once before at a vendor show, but I don't think that really counts. LOL! Anyway, Kristin sent me an e-mail back in August with a picture of Kendra for my BABY, BABY! contest, but after I read it, I knew that whether or not Kendra won my contest that month or not, I wanted to photograph her. My treat! So...I'm going to share Kristin's e-mail with you. Here it is.
"My daugher's name is Kendra Rose Bausch. She is 10 months today! Kendra has had quite the summer. After monthly check-ups for weight checks and gross motor progession checks since birth, we have been to many specialists, ending in a neurology visit, in which Kendra underwent an MRI and genetic blood testing where she was poked 8 times before they were able to stabalize an IV. Our MRI came back perfect, which meant something much more serious. Our genetic testing for her came back with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type I. Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) is the number-one inherited cause of death in children under two. Seven million Americans carry the gene for the deadliest inherited infant disease...and they don't even know it. Type I, or Werdnig-Hoffmann Disease, is the most severe form of SMA. Type I SMA strikes infants between birth and six months old. Children affected with Type I cannot sit without support. Her dad, Chris, and myself (Kristin Jennings) will have to undergo genetic testing ourselves to pinpoint if we are both carriers or just one of us and what that means for future children. Kendra has been undergoing extensive therapy for PT, OT, and now Speech as well. Most will lose their swallow and be required to use a feeding tube, along with much other respiratory equipment we already have in place for her. Kendra will never crawl, walk, or have the strength to support her own weight. She will be in a motorized wheel chair her whole life beginning at age 2 when we are able to purchase one. We continue to see many amazing doctors in Madison. For awhile it felt as though we were living there, but right now, has slowed down except for her daily therapies. We hope things don't have to pick up in Madison for a very long time, if ever, as this will mean severe illness, or procedures to undergo. Kendra is working hard and very slowly, but progressively gaining her own strength at sitting better, holding her head up while sitting, and tolerating lying on her stomach longer. The doctors feel she is a very strong type I, but would be considered a very weak type II. We are hopeful and placing our prayers in research to come up with a cure. This is the only disease closest to finding a cure with gene therapy or stem cell research because they know exactly what causes the disease and where at in her genetic components and make up. As you may notice, Kendra will be 1 on Halloween (October 31st, 2010)! I definitely think she, and us, are very deserving of winning your monthly contest. We would love to be able to get some fabulous 1 year old pictures taken with her! We have been following your work, and see that you do a great job. We also met you at your booth in Boscobel at the Blaine Gym, I believe Kendra was probably only a few months old at the time. This has been a tremendously hard diagnosis to deal with. I can't even begin to describe the rollercoaster of emotions. Family and friends are at a loss for words to comfort us, and I can't blame them because I don't know what to say either. We would just love all the prayers and support to open doors for Kendra and helping her live the most healthy and long living, fun life to the best of her capabilities, given her diagnosis and the struggles that it will include."
So...*tear*tear*...Kendra didn't win my August BABY, BABY! contest, but I got a hold of Kristin after reading her e-mail and we set up their appointment and I feel sooo good for being able to do this for their family. I was more than happy to donate my services and I am for sure going to keep praying for Kendra and her family and I'm asking that all of you do the same!

This is Chelsea! Chelsea came all of the way from Ottumwa, Iowa to have her pictures done on October 10th! She wanted to go to Bloody Run, but it was really washed out, so she first came to my studio and then we ventured to Pikes Peak. Okay, so a few posts back you got to see Scott and Bridget's pregnancy belly, so for the first time, making his debut on my blog, is Cooper Scott. He is the cutest little thing! He wasn't all about cooperating or sleeping for his sitting on September 20th, so this is the best that I got of Mr. Cooper. LOL! And I want to say how lucky I am that his parents are my clients! They are the kind of people that I have tons of fun with and always look forward to them coming back. Meet Shelby! Shelby is a senior at Prairie Senior High and came to visit me on September 18th for her senior pictures. I've known Shelby for awhile...her mom, Shannon, and I used to work together, so I was more than thrilled when they called me to do Shelby's pictures. It just made me feel a little old! LOL! Anyway, I had a ball with these two! And let me say...if I wouldn't have already known these two, I would have never thought that they were mother and daughter. I would have thought that they were sisters! They look alike and they fight like sisters! LOL! It was great! Anyway, enjoy!Funny story...Shelby's mom brought in her senior pictures to show me how things have changed since then, but I think we may have took it a little too far. LOL! Shannon had a picture like this that I just couldn't get over, so we recreated it for Shelby! Shelby didn't think it was very funny, but Shannon and I laughed hysterically!

Okay...this is my last post for the day...I promise! LOL! I TRIED to get a few pictures of Owen and Aaren last Tuesday...September 21st...but I didn't really have any luck. Owen is three years old here and Aaren is 21 months old. It's crazy that my baby is going to be two...soon! Ahhh! Owen is at the stage of giving me silly smiles and not looking at camera. He'll smile but have his eyes looking off. LOL! And Aaren just won't sit still! He's constantly on the go! Anyway, they are growing like weeds...check it out for yourself!Aaren had a little breakdown.This was an attempt to get a picture of them together. Another attempt. Haha!

I'm sure you all remember Dylan! The last time I saw Dylan he came to visit me for his three month pictures, along with a few pictures of him with his sister Summer. Meet Tyler, Trista and Trenton. Their mom was in need of some updated pictures, so I got together with them on August 11th and I must say that these three kids did a great job! They were very polite and even helped me carry my equipment. LOL! They were natural posers, which is always fun! And Tyler...he had some awesome facial expressions. He would make a great model!
